SJVC’s Medical Assistant classes prepare graduates to work in medical offices and specialty clinics. Training helps students learn the skills required to be a valuable member of the healthcare team. Medical Assisting Graduate
Learn the skills of patient preparation and assessment for various clinical procedures. Also study patient charting and instrumentation medical procedures.
Students will perform non-invasive procedures such as electrocardiograms and vital signs. Students will be trained in CPR and First Aid.
Students will learn to prepare exam rooms, exam trays, and apply sterile techniques. In addition, students will receive an introduction to basic concepts of radiology.
